Tea Tree Oil is a powerful antiseptic and helps clear up many skin diseases. It is also seen as an antibiotic and used for a wide range of fungal, viral and bacterial infections. It is a fairly safe oil to use but may cause sensitization in some individuals.
For those of us who have kids in school – it is Head Lice season. In my kids first week of school we already received a notice that someone has head lice in the class and that we need to check our kids hair on a regular basis. Here’s a little trick from the trade, dab a little tea tree oil (diluted) behind the ears or place approximately 10 drops of oil in a detangling conditioner and spray it in their hair before they go to school. According to the Head Lice Squad – lice do not like tea tree oil!
